yoga and portfolios

so lately i've been on this weird exercise jag. okay, the exercise part isn't what's weird. it's the fact that it's ME. i'll be the first to admit i've never been the most active or sporty of people. after getting into soccer last year i realized i don't totally hate getting off my butt every once in a while. when i put my mind to something, it's pretty tough to shake me out of it. so, i've started putting more time into working out. cardio at the y, running, and most recently, yoga. after a friend mentioned going to a class, i got inspired and did a little research. then i found out there's a whole channel in ondemand (yeah, comcast got something right!) that has free yoga, pilates, and a bunch of other workouts. after doing them the last couple of days, i do feel more energized and whatnot. i'm hoping to try out this yoga studio downtown, but i don't know when that will be.
another thing i've been working on more adamantly- if not a tad late- is my portfolio. the more i think about it, the more excited i am about the whole concept of being an art student. okay, so i don't necessarily know what i'll do AFTER art school. the point is, i'm so ready to be independent and immerse myself in art and be one of those crazy passionate people who can ramble for hours about the color wheel. and i guess that's what i'm looking for here: a chance to tap into my inner artist. at this point, i know beyond a doubt that's what i want out of life. now the exciting part, the scary part, is getting there. and i think i'm ready for it.
or at least, i will be, if i ever finish these friggin' applications.
